OUR MISSION:
To share the LOVE of Jesus Christ and the Good News of the HOPE He brings by providing compassionate and quality healthcare to the working, uninsured and underserved in Laurens County, GA.
The J.O.Y. Health Clinics - MEDICAL | DENTAL | VISION are staffed with volunteer physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, optometrists, pastors/Christians as well as administrative staff. Most volunteers come to the clinic after working all day. We strive to see God's heart, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus through providing free medical, dental and vision care to those who can't afford health insurance. Our medical care focuses on chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma and thyroid conditions. Without the proper treatment and ongoing medication these patients would become very ill and have to resort to emergency rooms for their healthcare. But we provide routine care for other conditions as well, including limited lab tests at no charge. We become our patients' medical home, taking care of patients just as they would be in a regular physicians' office. Our dental care provides for extractions only at this time, but patients with broken teeth and dental infections need this care urgently. Finally, we partner with the Lion's Lighthouse Foundation to provide free annual eye exams and low-cost glasses for our patients. All our patients receive spiritual counseling when they come to medical or dental appointments, thereby working to improve not only their physical health, but also their spiritual health.
